I’m a strategic communications consultant, writer and editor with more than 30 years’ experience across journalism, in-house communications and agency PR. That background means I don’t just write – I understand how stories work, how audiences think, and how to position your message so it cuts through.

My background

​As an NCTJ-qualified journalist, I started my career in newspapers as a reporter, deputy news editor and sub-editor.

 

That experience continues to shape how I work: with curiosity, accuracy and a strong editorial instinct for what makes a story worth telling.

 

I went on to build a career in communications, working at leading global agency Weber Shandwick as managing editor and then in-house as a PR manager.

 

I’ve led PR and communications campaigns for high-profile organisations and market-leading brands, from the UK Government to David Lloyd Clubs.

Across these roles, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to create messaging that connects – whether that’s leading campaigns, securing media coverage or strengthening brand positioning.

​Since 2019, I’ve supported many businesses, agencies and media organisations with copywriting, content and PR services.

​
